Cardiology technicians are allied health support personnel who can work in a variety of settings. This program is ideal for the person who is interested in an expanded role in the medical field. Cardiology technicians assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart) ailments. A cardiology technician is a knowledgeable health care professional who is educated and trained to perform diagnostic procedures at the request of the physician to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiac disease.
The work place will vary from doctor's offices to hospital cardiology departments. Cardiology technicians operate machines that record the electrical changes that occur during and between heartbeats. |
